UPWORDS is the tile-based game with a twist! You can place letters on top of existing letters to create new words.
Play begins on one of four center tiles. Points are equal to the number of tiles in the word. Points are doubled for words where every letter is just one tile high.

New words must touch or cover at least one existing tile. Each word is scored by the number of tiles that make it up, including any tiles they cover.

Make sure your new tiles make valid words in all directions. In this example, you get double points for "de" and straight points for "mire" and "reg".

The higher you stack, the higher you score. Each stack can only reach 5 tiles high.

Play all 7 tiles in your tray for a 20 point bonus!
Play ends when one player plays all of their tiles or when both players pass at least 3 times in a row.
You can pass your turn by playing without placing any tiles.
At the end of the game, you lose 5 points for each tile left in your tray.
